Hydrometallurgy Equipment

Bench-scale continuous solid/ liquid reaction system, 10 Kg/ day capacity

Pilot scale rubber lined leaching tank (1 m3) used for leaching of minerals such as phosphates, dolomite, magnesite with sulfuric acid.  

Leaching and counter current washing continuous system, 1 m3 capacity for each tank

Combined pilot scale and counter current washing systems.

Elcetromechanical Equipments

A high-speed rotator (EG&G Instruments, INC.) model 616, 0 to 3000 rpm, is available to rotate the working electrode at the desired speeds during electrochemical experiments.

Volta Lab 21 PGP 201 Model

The voltammetric response is available with a High-performance 20 V / 1 A Potentiostat / Galvanostat, Volta Lab 21 PGP 201 model, coupled to a computer to record current and potentials. By using Volta Lab instrument, different electrochemical techniques can be applied like Cyclic Voltamery, Linear Sweep Voltametry, Potentiostatic and Galvanostatic Techniques.

Pyrometallurgical recovery of nonferrous metals from solid wastes (e.g., recovery of Zn from ash).
