Activities:

• The mission of our lab is to enhance the competitiveness of the Egyptian industries through scientific research and technological development in the field of non-ferrous alloys. One of our principal mission is to transfer the latest technologies to our metallurgical industry.Also; the lab offers services to industry covering research projects, technical services, and training.

• Production and development of non-ferrous alloys; such as: Al- , Cu- , Mg- , Ti-, and Ni- alloys.
• Production and improving new master alloys for grain refining and modification of aluminum- silicon alloys.
• Production, design and development of new materials such as: Foam metals, composite materials, super plastic materials and rapidly solidified materials.
• Characterizations of the microstructure and mechanical properties of Non-Ferrous alloys.
• Development of new heat treatment methods and cycles to avoid incipient melting of Al2Cu- phase in aluminum alloys.
• Heat treatment and thermomechanical treatment of different non-ferrous metals and alloys.
