Marowa Moustafa, the research assistant in electro metallurgical and chemical lab (CMRDI) has awarded Master degree from Faculty of Science Al-Azhar University entitled “Electrochemical preparation of nano-crystalline ferrites films suitable for electronic applications”. She prepared nickel zinc ferrites powders using co-precipitation technique and nickel zinc ferrites films using electro-deposition technique. The prepared ferrite has high magnetic properties that made it suitable for different electronic applications.

The prepared ferrite has high magnetic properties that made it suitable for different electronic applications.

Soft ferrites are considered very important materials. They are  used in many different technologies which become important part in our daily life during the last decades. Among these ferrites, nickel zinc ferrites which are characterized with attractive set of properties like high electrical resistivity, good magnetic properties, mechanical hardness, chemical stability and reasonable cost. These properties make nickel zinc ferrites suitable for a wide variety of applications in the different fields such as, power transformers in electronics, recording heads, antenna rods, loading coils, microwave devices ,telecommunication and excellent catalyst for alkylation of aromatics. 
In the present study, nickel zinc ferrites powders and films are prepared using two different processes, co-precipitation and electrodeposition techniques with good magnetic properties that fit to different electronic applications.
