Activities:

• Building a good scientific infrastructure in advanced materials processing specially nanostructured materials.
• Transfer and development of recent world class technologies in processing, characterization and evaluation of advanced and new materials.
• Transfer and adoptation of adavanced technologies in te area of nanostructured materials and nanotechnology and development of new technologies suitable for Egyptian environment.
• Make a good contacts with abroad researchers through collaborative research projects.
• Make a joints between the industrial needs and carried out research.
• Working on marketing of the applied researches.
• Distribution of the importance and needs of nanomaterials among the scientific and industrial societies through workshops, meetings, symbosium and seminars.
• Nanostructured materials lab is doing research in the area of nanotechnology and nanomaterials. This comes through publication of articles, performing national and international projects. In addition training programs on nanomaterials and its applications are being given to students, engineers and scientists that are working in this or relevant field.
• Preparation, characterization and test for application of nanomaterials in the form of particles, fibers, tubes and thin films by various methods and techniques such as sol-gel, co-precipitation, hydrothermal, solvothermal, microemulsion, CVD, PVD, and electrodeposition.
